Men were extremely knowledgeable and found actual monuments and found three out of four markers that I could not locate as site had construction on it and markers were lost during wooded area clean out and bamboo clean out. Men were fast and were able to check set backs for my project. Will recommend in future also returned phone calls and were easy to schedule.

Scott did a great job locating and establishing our property boundary lines and corners. At one of our property corners he found two pins which made the process a bit confusing. Scott took his time to investigate the reason for the dual pins and ultimately determined different lengths existed on adjoining properties boundary lines. Scott explained everything he was doing throughout the entire process. Scott and his team were extremely professional. I recently used MagNorth to map the boundary points of our property for future projects. Scott explained what they were going to do, and brought me in through the mapping process to ensure I understood what the boundaries were, and where they would place markers.
As an example, before placing the final monuments, Scott walked me through each corner of the property, and explained how he arrived at that marker placement, what points he used to gain accuracy and where the marker would be placed.
Finally he assured me that he stood by his work and requested that any questions be brought directly to him. Very happy with our decision to choose MagNorth and will recommend them going forward.

I found MagNorth through Google. I read through their reviews, and I was impressed that the reviews had some substance and weren't just comprised of the number of stars given. Everyone had some good things to say. On top of that, Scott Hogg was one of the crew that originally staked out the property lines for my neighborhood many years ago. I knew he had the experience and was quite reputable.
Scott gave me a date and time, and he stuck to it. He and his son, Storm, were extremely courteous and answered any questions I had. They did the job as they said they would, marking my property corners and the midpoints. (They even threw in an extra stake or two on the longest edge of my property.) My property is fairly wooded, and they cleared only the little bits they needed to clear which was nice, too. 
Scott quoted me a very fair price which was comparable to all the others I checked out. They even walked the property lines with me in the end. The whole process was easy, and I'd recommend MagNorth in a heartbeat.

Scott and his son Storm did an excellent job marking our property boundaries. Scott initially came by locating the property pins and from there provided a quote for completing a full survey. As we were planning on having a fence installed, it was imperative that we clearly identified the lines. After arriving promptly at our agreed upon scheduled time, Scott completed the survey efforts and clearly marked the lines; which identified a gross inaccuracy from what our builder had originally identified. Scott then walked the lines with us ensuring we understood how the lines were marked and ensuring any questions we had were answered. MagNorth provided what was promised and expected. It took longer than what I expected, but there were issues with some of the existing corner markers. They ended up having to add a number of rebar corner markers for those that were missing.
I would use MagNorth for any future survey work and I would recommend them to others.

Scott and Storm came out as scheduled for a property boundary survey (arrived 10 minutes early for an 8am appointment). After finding 9 of 12 corner points in the ground (really 10 as one was pulled out and laying next to a utility pole). So having the 6 that mark my property boundary he gave me the option of property corner search instead of a full blown survey for time spent thus far.
It shows the ideals of Scott and his company that he would give me the option as it reduced the revenue for his company. Will highly recommend and use again if we move and need the service again.

Not only did Scott perform a supremely professional and comprehensive survey, his A+ communication may have saved us almost $1000:
Initially I contacted 4 survey companies in the vicinity of Berks county to obtain quotes and see who could complete my survey the soonest. The survey was for a very old property that could easily be a challenge to complete. Scott's quote was the lowest, but they were all in the same ballpark. However, Scott was the only one who took the time to contact me so he could clearly explain to me why his estimate was x amount of dollars, and also that if things happened to go easier than expected, he would not be billing me for the quoted amount I was agreeing to. As we all know, things RARELY go better than expected. Well this time it actually did, and Scott kept his word. Our final invoice amount was about half as much as the original quotes I received. It makes me wonder if the other companies would have had the integrity to do the same, had I accepted their estimations.
We will continue to work with Scott in the future, and I suggest you do too!

We needed a survey before we had a fence installed. I called early in the year to beat  the spring rush and rather than waiting for warmer weather, they came soon after I called. It was bitter cold the day that they scheduled to arrive and despite the weather they got the job done. They had to dig one of the existing pins out from under a pile of plowed snow. Other pin locations had to be determined using their equipment as the original pins had been removed. They were polite, worked steadily while they were here, and got the job done for a fair price.

I needed a survey of my property to confirm property lines. Scott came to my house on time.

In my opinion, he did a very professional and accurate job.
The only thing I would prefer, was to be aware of the his need to utilize the neighbor's stakes, just to make them aware in advance. I would highly recommend Scott and his services.

I can't say enough how pleased I am with Scott. He showed up exactly at the time stated and got to work immediately. This was a residential survey to establish property lines for a fence. Things did not line up 100% at first as the original survey to establish property lines in the 60's wasn't very accurate. Scott put in the extra time and effort to make sure everything was 100% accurate and surveyed from points all over my neighborhood to get everything just right. I would trust Scott with any surveying project I need in the future big or small. Not only is Scott a great surveyor, he is a great person who didn't mind me tagging along asking questions and observing. I can't recommend Scott of MagNorth enough!

Due to bad weather Scott had to reschedule and I suggested that he call when he had a good day available. He showed up bright and early on a very cold day and tramped around in the snow to locate the corners of our property. He was able to find the markers on all four corners and then offered us the option of stopping there for a savings of several hundred dollars rather than continuing with a full survey which probably would not have provided much added information.  I really appreciate his consideration.

Scott surveyed a 6.675 acre wooded property in Lebanon County Pa. Scott is a down to earth, well spoken person whose integrity is consistently obvious as you progress with the job. Scott produced a clear description of the boundaries to put into a new deed. With his plain English description I can virtually walk the borders and identify every marker. A new plat did not need to be created so I saved $400. The property is in Lebanon County, Pa. I live in Virginia, a 3 hour drive to Lebanon County. We conducted the entire transaction flawlessly via telephone conversations and e-mail. I wasn't home when Scott Hogg of MagNorth showed up, but I understand he got straight to work. He had all pins set and marked by the time I arrived. Scott walked me around the property while explaining his methods and how each point was determined. His work gives me peace of mind knowing the upcoming privacy fence will be properly place and not infringe on either neighbor's yard.
